OK so let me start out by saying that I do not consider myself a very good writer, so this blog is intended to have as little words as possible. Since I am also not good at scrap booking I hope for this blog to be our virtual baby album that we can look back on many years from now.

So these first couple of posts are "catch up posts" of primarily of belly pics, significant dates and nursery ideas dating from July 2012 until today December 26, 2012.

By the way, we have not decided on a name other than her Rae as her middle name.  We may not make a decision until her arrival so until then I will refer to her as Baby Rae since this is what my family calls her :)

The first trimester.....

5-6 weeks - (August 2012) Thrilled to find out we are pregnant!

About 8 weeks - (8/14) 1st appointment and ultrasound

That afternoon we surprised each of our parents by showing them the pic below. Both were shocked and super excited!

About 8.5 weeks - (8/16) We had planned a short trip to Atlanta to celebrate our 4 year wedding anniversary. We wined (or least Shaffer did) dined, and attended a Braves vs Dodgers baseball game. The game was extra special since it was Chippers last year before retiring. He hit a home-run and we won in overtime! Baby Rae's first Braves game!

9.5 weeks - (9/1) We traveled to Cumming, GA to tell Shaffer's extended family the good news and cheer on our Auburn tigers at the Auburn vs Clemson game.

12 weeks - 9/13 We waited 12 weeks to post our big news on facebook or tell friends. It was the longest 12 weeks of our lives! We are so lucky to have a photographer in the family. Magen took the below photos and posted to facebook.. I love them!
